Engagement sessions are a fun and useful way for a bride and groom to get used to how we pose and move from photo to photo before the wedding day. It’s not impossible to get amazing photos on your wedding day without the engagement but it’s so helpful!

Engagement sessions are such a wonderful opportunity for us to work with our wedding clients. They are included in our wedding packages as a complimentary session for many reasons. It is a great chance to get to know each other which makes the wedding day so nice.

Photographing an engagement session in the height of spring flowers is a dream! This shoot started out a little rainy but we decided to go ahead and work for it and we did it!

It may have been a rainy day but that didn’t make Mollie and Perry’s wedding day gloomy in the least! This sweet couple was so happy to finally tie the knot after having to reschedule due to Covid. Maysville is the cutest little town even in the rain and offered plenty of pretty photo opportunities.

Spring weddings have begun and we couldn’t be more excited! This year is a little different because we started the wedding year back in February. Last year, (thanks to Covid), we didn’t have a wedding until very late in the year. It feels wonderful to get back into the swing of things so early this year!

It feels great to have nice evenings again for photo sessions! It won’t be long before flowers are blooming and the leaves are full of trees. It also won’t be long before Jodi and Adam celebrate their marriage out at the Bluegrass Wedding Barn!

Welcome, spring weddings! We are so happy for this sweet couple, Natalie and Kyle. We have known Natalie’s family for many years so it was a special treat to work with them. They were married at Venue at the Edge, a stunning venue located in Flatwoods, KY, near Ashland.

The setting was a winter wonderland on Saturday when Adam and Mikayla said, “I do”. The Campbell House was a stunning backdrop for the ceremony as the bride walked down the aisle with it “snowing” on her. Adam was in awe of her at the first look and later as he watched her come down the aisle on her father’s arm.

One of our most frequently asked questions is, “What should we wear for our photo session?” While there are no hard and fast rules on colors or styles, there are some tips and tricks that will make you look your best in your photos. Here are a few that you might keep in mind as you prepare for your session.

Back in September we had the opportunity to attend the Reset Conference at the Campbell House in Lexington, KY. It was a great experience and part of that was getting to attend a couple of styled shoots.

Kristen and Joseph are getting married this year! We are so excited to shoot their big day out at the Bluegrass Wedding Barn in June!

Christmas weddings might be our new favorite! Brooklyne and Evan’s wedding at the Winchester Opera House was a Christmas miracle! The color palette of cranberry, silver and pearl was so stunning and every thoughtful detail was perfect.

Lauren & Dalton were married this past Saturday in a gorgeous winter wedding. This couple is so fun and sweet! We had a great time hanging out with them and their families. The bright white of the venue coupled with the twinkly Christmas lights was magical!

It was so nice to get outdoors to shoot a December engagement session last Friday! The weather was so nice and this couple was even nicer!

Happy Holidays! We are so excited that Christmas is near! There’s just something magical about it! But we also know that it can be stressful deciding on what to buy for your family! But what could be better than giving them a beautiful portrait of you from your wedding day, engagement session, or portrait session.

Kelsey and Rob couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day! The weather was gorgeous, the trees were still beautiful, Kelsey looked like a dream and the day was full of love. The people that care most about them were present for both their vows and the party and everything was beautiful.

Chris and Katie planned their wedding at the Gheens Foundation Lodge in Louisville and made it short and very sweet! This couple has been an absolute joy to work with and we enjoyed capturing their day so much.

It’s almost time for the fall color to wind down and that means engagement photo “season” winds down too. Margo and Matt jumped in to get their engagement photos done at just the right time! We all kept talking about how gorgeous the trees were!

Exploring new places in Kentucky is fun, especially in October when the color of the leaves is amazing! Cherokee Park was a new location for us but we loved it! Everywhere we walked it seemed there was another gorgeous area full of vibrant colors!

Lauren and Dalton are getting married! Their wedding will take place in December so they only have a matter of weeks until they are husband and wife!
